The party of Shi'ite populist cleric Muqtada al-Sadr has secured the largest number of seats in the October 10 Iraq election. The leader has a massive following and controls a large armed militant group. He is opposed to all foreign interference in Iraq. He fought against the US in 2003, and more interestingly, also opposes Iran's involvement in Iraqi politics.
