The world has been shaken with the horrific images of everyday Afghanis trying to flee, hide, do anything to avoid the Taliban, who have taken over the country in barely a couple of weeks. The lives of many translators, humanitarian aid workers, and others who worked with the US are at risk. Afghan women and girls face a bleak future, and that's an understatement. In this episode, we talk about these events with Jason Brisebois, a former member of the Canadian Forces Protective Services Unit who worked with several NGOs in Kabul and Kandahar, and helped facilitate aid shipments to charities and girls schools.
